Socrates Cafe DC
|
The Socrates Café was first developed by educator, freelance writer, and Society for Philosophical Inquiry founder Christopher Philips. The goal of the Socrates Café is to revive the Socratic method of philosophy within contemporary America, and to help strengthen communities at a local level. Meet other local people who are interested in Socrates Cafe, a philosophical community. Do You Have Questions about this interesting experience we call Life? Do you wonder what comprises a truly good society & how to best find our way there? Then, by all means, please join us at Socrates Café in Washington, DC to seek the questions, explore the answers, and then delve further into the questions that arise in good-spirited fellowship with other curious-minded seekers. Inspired by the Christopher Phillips book "Socrates Café" and, of course, by the ever exploring spirit of Socrates himself! No philosophy background required. Just bring your questioning mind and seeking spirit!
