The Delray-Boca Socrates Cafe May Meeting

We begin our meetings by selecting a topic for discussion. Topics might range from "What is unconditional love?" to "What's in a Name?" to "How does fear control our actions?" to "What's a hero?" and more. Bring questions with you, and we'll do a weighted vote to narrow down the field to one. After that, we'll go around the group to gather opinions and comments as we explore the question. The more diversity of opinion, the better.

We will make every attempt to allow everyone to speak once before we go around for seconds, thirds, and fourths. And we will ask that you refrain from cross-talk. Wait until it's your turn to speak again. As we talk, we'll find some surprising ways in which we are connected -- or ways in which we are different. That's all part of the fun.

And we always find something to laugh about, too.

We adjourn at 7:30 p.m., but if people have more to say, we can always re-convene for coffee down the street.
